The Penang Badminton Association (PBA) today congratulated the president of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, on being conferred the Darjah Panglima Pangkuan Negeri (DPPN), which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’, in conjunction with the 84th birthday celebration of the Governor of Penang, Tun Ramli Ngah Talib.
To honour this distinguished recognition, PBA president Datuk Kah Kau Kiak, along with vice president Gary Poh and honorary treasurer Datuk Ang Lay Heang, were present at the investiture ceremony in Dewan Sri Pinang held today.
During the occasion, PBA also took the opportunity to formally extend an invitation to Tengku Zafrul to attend its 100th anniversary celebration on Nov 22 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre.
This gesture ahead of the centennial dinner reflects PBA’s deep appreciation for national badminton leadership and reinforces its commitment to making the upcoming celebration a historic and meaningful occasion.

大马羽球总会会长东姑赛夫鲁今天荣获槟州元首阁下封赐DPPN拿督斯里勋衔，堪称国家羽坛之光，实至名归。
槟州羽球总会会长拿督许庆吉今日率领副会长傅裕兴及财政拿督洪丽香，专程前往槟州大会堂向东姑赛夫鲁献上祝贺，场面洋溢喜庆气氛。
自出任大马羽总会长以来，东姑赛夫鲁积极推动羽球发展，锐意改革，致力提升国家羽球整体水平，表现备受肯定；他在其他领域亦有卓越建树，广受社会敬仰。此次获封拿督斯里，象征其贡献获得肯定。
槟州羽总一行人也特别向东姑赛夫鲁正式发出邀请，诚邀其出席将于今年11月22日，在槟城国际会展中心隆重举行的槟州羽总百年庆典晚宴。
此举不仅表达槟州羽总对国家羽球领导层的敬意，也彰显该会对百年庆典的高度重视，寓意承先启后、续写辉煌。
